Theft Protection for Backflow Prevention Assemblies

Zurn Wilkins has provided a factory assembled solution - the 375XLB (lead-free law compliant). Here is a link to the website: http://www.zurn.com/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?NodeKey=413950
A number of water utilities are specifying and using this model and none have reported theft. The coating is a black epoxy that is baked on, resulting in a very durable, UV resistant cover. It disguises the bronze and reduces the value to scrap yards - two ways to deter thieves!

It is important to have a backflow prevention device to ensure that your water is safe from contamination. That's why we should also take care of our backflow prevention assemblies.
